Bhd., and it should reach you sealed. You cannot see inside a tablet, so check what you can: the seal, the label details, the batch and expiry print, where the seller’s stock comes from, which lab papers they can show, and the price. Our page cautions that listings far below S$89 a bottle may not be real BIO LingZhi; every bottle we sell is original stock and ships sealed — see BIO LingZhi on our Singapore store.
We sell BIO LingZhi in Singapore, so we get this question often: “Is the lingzhi I bought original?” This guide explains how to check lingzhi in general, then what a sealed BIO LingZhi bottle should show, using only what our Singapore product page states. We do not judge any other seller; we explain the checks so you can decide.

How do I tell original lingzhi from fake?
It depends on the form you are buying, because each form hides different things.
- Whole mushrooms and slices: genuine dried red reishi is hard and woody, with a glossy reddish-brown cap and a pale underside of tiny pores, and it tastes bitter. Be wary of pieces that feel soft or light, smell musty, show mould, or leave colour on a damp tissue.
- Spore powder: a fine powder is easy to bulk out and impossible to judge by eye, so the seller’s lab papers and the maker’s details on the pack matter more than appearance.
- Tablets and capsules: you cannot inspect the reishi at all, so you judge the packaging, the label and the source instead.
For any form, the same questions help: who made it, where is the reishi from, is the pack sealed, are the batch and expiry printed, and can the seller show test results? Searches like “lingzhi legit or not” usually come down to these five.
What should a sealed BIO LingZhi bottle look like?
Our page’s product information gives you a checklist to hold against any bottle:
- Product name: BIO-LINGZHI Tablet, BIO Series.
- Contents: a bottle of 100 tablets.
- Each tablet: 348.5 mg, containing Ganoderma lucidum 250 mg.
- Directions: adults, 1-2 tablets, three times daily.
- Made by: MOH Pharmaceutical Technologies Sdn. Bhd., Shah Alam, Malaysia.
- Storage: below 30°C, away from light and moisture.
- Seal: intact on arrival.
- Porcine test: our page says the seal of the Halvec Laboratories porcine-free test is on the bottle.
If any of these does not match, or the seal is broken or missing, do not take the tablets. Contact the seller and ask for an explanation.
What do “no codes” or “code removed” mean on a listing?
Some marketplace listings for lingzhi describe the box as having “no codes” or the “code removed”. Supplement packs often carry a printed batch or security code that links the pack to where and when it was made and the channel it was supplied through. When a listing says that code has been taken off, you lose the ability to trace that pack.
That does not prove what is inside, either way. It does mean you are relying on the seller alone. Before you pay, ask the seller why the code was removed, where the stock comes from and what the expiry date is. If the answers are vague, buy elsewhere.
Why are some prices much lower?
Our page answers this directly: be careful, it may not be genuine. Our price is S$89 a bottle, and listings far below it may not be real BIO LingZhi. A low price can also mean short expiry or stock that was not stored cool and dry, which matters for a product the maker asks you to keep below 30°C. A modest difference between shops is normal; a very large one is a reason to ask questions before you buy.
Where is BIO LingZhi’s reishi from, and which papers back it?
Hokkaido, Japan. The red reishi powder carries a certificate of analysis from Hokkaido Reishi Co., Ltd., and its growing site in Bibai, Hokkaido is certified organic in Japan (ACCIS, no. A17-101602). Our product page publishes these papers, along with lab results:
- Heavy metals: arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury not detected.
- Harmful microbes: E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus absent.
- Preservatives: benzoic acid, sorbic acid, boric acid and sulphur dioxide not detected.
- Porcine: not detected by Halvec Laboratories, a JAKIM panel laboratory.
Papers describe the product as it was made and tested. They cannot tell you how a particular bottle was stored or handled after it left the maker, which is why the seal and the source still matter.
Unsure about a bottle you already have?
Compare it with the checklist above: name, tablet weight, 250 mg of red reishi per tablet, the maker and the seal, and check that the pack is still within its expiry date. If something does not match, keep the bottle and the receipt, stop taking it, and raise it with the seller or the marketplace. If you feel unwell after taking any supplement, see a doctor and bring the bottle with you.
