To use it, apply serum, then roll upwards and outwards from the centre of the face with light pressure, a few strokes per area. Any benefit comes from the massage and the coolness of the stone, not from special crystal properties, and it is not a substitute for skincare. Our FEMOIRE Youth Serum comes with the Rose Beauty Stone, made of natural rose quartz, to glide over the serum.
Here is what rose quartz tools actually do, how to use and clean one, how rose quartz compares with jade, and how the stone in our FEMOIRE set fits in, using only what our Singapore product page says.
What does a rose quartz roller do?
Realistic benefits of a rose quartz roller for the face:
- A cool, relaxing massage. Stone stays cooler than skin, which feels pleasant after a long day in front of screens.
- Less puffy-looking skin, temporarily. Gentle strokes towards the ears and jaw can help morning puffiness look calmer for a while. The effect is short-lived.
- Even spreading of serum or oil. Rolling over your skincare spreads it evenly and turns applying it into a slower, more mindful step.
What it will not do: change your bone structure, remove wrinkles, or “detox” anything. Claims about crystal energy have no scientific support; the stone matters because it is smooth, cool and easy to clean.
The FEMOIRE page describes its stone in cosmetic terms: the natural rose quartz helps the serum absorb, lifts the look of your contours, and feels cool and relaxing on the skin.
How do I use a rose quartz roller or stone?
- Start with clean skin and a clean tool.
- Apply your serum, oil or moisturiser so the stone glides instead of dragging.
- Work from the centre outward and upward: chin to ear along the jaw, nose to cheekbone, between the brows up to the hairline, and from the collarbone up the neck. Three to five strokes per area is plenty.
- Keep the pressure light, especially around the eyes. Stay on the bone, not the lid, and never tug.
- Skip broken, sunburnt or inflamed skin and active breakouts, so you do not spread bacteria or add irritation.
A rose quartz roller has a wheel at each end, a large one for cheeks and jaw and a small one for under the eyes and the nose. A rose quartz gua sha is a flat, shaped stone held at a low angle and swept along the skin; it needs more slip and a slower hand. A rose quartz roller ball usually means a roll-on bottle with a rose quartz ball, used to dab on an oil or eye serum, which is a different product.
For the FEMOIRE stone, our page’s method is simple: glide the stone 2-3 times a week, over the serum, from the centre of the face outward.
Rose quartz vs jade roller: which is better?
Neither is better for your skin; the difference is mostly feel, weight and looks. Rose quartz is a pink variety of quartz, a hard stone that holds the cold well. Jade rollers are traditionally nephrite or jadeite, though many cheap “jade” rollers are other green stones. If you already own a jade roller, keep using it; what matters more is smooth edges, a solid frame and a routine you will keep.
Should I use it with a serum?
Yes. A bare stone on dry skin drags; a serum, face oil or light moisturiser gives slip. The FEMOIRE set is built around that idea: the Rose Beauty Stone, 100% rose quartz, is paired with FEMOIRE Youth Serum (30 ml), powered by 3rd Gen Youth Peptide, NMN and 8 types of hyaluronic acid. Our page says the serum visibly smooths wrinkles and expression lines, and that the natural rose quartz helps the serum absorb.
The order: a few drops of serum on face and neck, massaged in, then the stone over it; in the morning, follow with your moisturiser and sunscreen.
How often should I use it?
There is no fixed rule. Many people roll for a minute or two most mornings for the cooling effect; short, gentle sessions beat long, firm ones. For the FEMOIRE Rose Beauty Stone, our page recommends 2-3 times a week over the serum, while the serum itself is used morning and night.
How do I clean a rose quartz roller?
- After each use, wipe off serum with a soft cloth.
- Once or twice a week, wash the stone with lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap, rinse and pat dry.
- Avoid hot water and long soaks; sudden heat can crack stone, and water can loosen a roller’s frame.
- Dry it fully and store it somewhere clean. The fridge is fine for extra coolness; the freezer is not.
- Do not share it, and replace a stone that is chipped or cracked, because rough edges can scratch skin.
