What is Niang Jia Chicken Essence?
Niang Jia (娘家) is a drip chicken essence from Taiwan. Instead of boiling chicken in water, whole black-feathered roosters are slowly dripped to collect their pure essence, with no water added. Each serving is sealed in a ready-to-drink 50 ml pouch, and the pouches come in a gift box with a carry handle. Niang Jia is made in Taiwan and imported for Malaysia. It is its own brand, not a Wellous product.

Each 50 ml pouch is drip essence of chicken from black-feathered roosters, made with no water added. Niang Jia uses a Taiwan-patented poultry protein extraction technology to draw the essence from the whole chicken. The result is a clear, light essence with a sweet aftertaste and no oiliness.
Lab tests by SGS found Niang Jia free from preservatives, sweeteners, synthetic food colourants and plasticisers, so what you drink is simply chicken essence.
How to drink Niang Jia
Enjoy one 50 ml pouch a day. Tear it open and drink it as it is, or pour it into a cup. You can also stir a pouch into steamed egg or porridge for an easy nourishing meal. The pouches are stored at room temperature, so keep the box in a cool, dry place and finish each pouch once it is opened.
Choose a box of 7 pouches for a week of daily nourishment, or a box of 16 pouches for longer, for the whole family or for gifting.

Niang Jia Essence of Chicken is certified halal by the Taiwan Halal Integrity Development Association, a halal body recognised by JAKIM, with a certificate valid to 31 January 2028. SGS food lab tests found it free from preservatives, sweeteners, synthetic food colourants and plasticisers. It was also recognised with a 3-star award at the 2023 A.A. Taste Awards. As a food product it has no MAL number.
