How do I know if BIO LingZhi is original?
A genuine bottle carries the same details as the registered product, and you can check every one of them. What a genuine bottle shows

- Halvec seal: porcine not detected by Halvec Laboratories, a JAKIM panel laboratory, and its seal is on the bottle.
- An intact seal. Check the seal when it arrives; a broken or re-glued seal is a reason to stop and ask.
- A batch number and expiry date printed clearly on the bottle.
- Storage directions: below 30°C, away from light and moisture.
One more clue for people searching “original ling zhi capsule”: BIO LingZhi comes as tablets, not capsules. If you are offered “BIO LingZhi capsules”, ask what exactly you are buying.
How do I check a MAL number on the NPRA website?
- Go to the official website of NPRA, the Ministry of Health’s drug regulator, and open its product search (QUEST3+).
- Type the number exactly: MAL19987062T. The “T” at the end means a registered traditional product.
- Check that the product name and the registration holder shown there match your label.
Remember what this proves: that a registered product with this number exists. A number in a listing photo does not prove that the bottle in your hand is genuine, so always check the physical bottle, hologram and seal as well.
Why are some listings much cheaper?
There can be several reasons, and not all of them mean a fake: the stock may be close to its expiry date, stored somewhere hot, unsealed or repacked, or bought outside normal channels. Some low-priced items may also not be the real product. Our page puts it plainly: our price is RM209 a bottle, and listings far below it may not be real BIO LingZhi. If a deal looks too good, check the seal, the hologram and the expiry date before you take a single tablet.
How to tell real lingzhi capsules from fakes in general
- The label names the species (for example Ganoderma lucidum) and the amount per tablet or capsule, not just “lingzhi”.
- It shows a registration number you can search, and the maker’s name and address.
- The seller can show test papers such as heavy-metal results. For BIO LingZhi, our page lists arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury: not detected (Bio Synergy Laboratories).
- Be wary of any lingzhi sold as a medicine for a disease or as a kidney remedy. That is a red flag whatever the brand.
What genuine BIO LingZhi does, and does not, claim
Our page describes BIO LingZhi as 250 mg of organic-certified red reishi from Hokkaido in every tablet, using the whole mushroom to strengthen your immune defence, support healthy liver function and help you age well. It is a traditional supplement registered with KKM (MAL19987062T). Registration means KKM registered the product; it is not KKM backing every claim an advert makes.
Some adverts aim lingzhi at worried parents with talk of foamy urine or dialysis. We do not sell BIO LingZhi as a kidney medicine. NPRA has also published updates on kidney-related and liver-related adverse-reaction reports after people took ganoderma (lingzhi) products, so anyone with a liver or kidney condition, or on regular medicine, should ask a doctor before starting.
