Roll lightly upward and outward from the centre of the face, and wash it after every use. It will not reshape your face or replace good skincare and sunscreen. FEMOIRE Youth Serum comes with its own natural rose quartz Rose Beauty Stone, made to glide over the serum 2-3 times a week; our price is RM239 for the serum and stone: see the FEMOIRE Youth Serum set on our Malaysia store.
We sell a serum that comes with a rose quartz stone, so this guide covers rollers in general first, including what they cannot do, then shows where the FEMOIRE stone fits. No star ratings or customer quotes.
What does a rose quartz roller do for the face?
Rose quartz is a pale pink variety of quartz, a hard natural stone that stays cool to the touch. Rolled over the face, it gives you three honest benefits:
- A cool, gentle massage that many people find relaxing after a day at a screen.
- Even spreading of your skincare, without tugging with your fingers.
- A fresher look in the morning. Cool, light pressure can make skin look less puffy for a while.
What it cannot do: it does not slim your face for good, change your bone structure or replace sunscreen. Crystal “energy” is a belief, not skincare evidence. The active work is done by what you put on your skin.
How do you use a rose quartz roller with serum?
- Start clean. Wash your face and your roller.
- Apply your serum first. A few drops give the stone something to glide on, so it never drags dry skin.
- Roll from the centre outward. Neck: from the collarbone up to the jaw. Jaw and cheeks: from the chin and nose out towards the ears. Forehead: from between the brows up and out to the hairline. Under the eyes, use the smallest end, very lightly, and keep product out of the eyes.
- Keep the pressure light. Three to five passes per area is plenty.
- Finish your routine. Moisturiser follows, and sunscreen in the morning.
How often? General rollers can be used daily if your skin is happy. FEMOIRE’s own direction for its stone is 2-3 times a week, over the serum, from the centre of the face outward.
Who should skip it? Do not roll over active breakouts, broken, sunburnt or irritated skin. If you are under a doctor’s care for your skin, ask your doctor first.
Rose quartz vs jade roller vs gua sha: what is the difference?
- Rose quartz roller: pink quartz, hard and smooth, cool to the touch.
- Jade roller: green nephrite or jadeite. Used the same way; the difference is mostly colour and preference. Cheap “jade” is sometimes dyed glass, so check the stated material.
- Gua sha: a flat stone with curved edges, from a traditional Chinese technique. Instead of rolling, you hold it almost flat against the skin and sweep it in slow strokes over oil or serum. It gives a firmer, more sculpting massage and takes more practice.
Rose quartz roller and gua sha together? Yes: roll first to spread the serum, then finish with a few gua sha strokes along the jaw and cheekbones; sensitive skin is better with one or the other. Technique matters more than the stone.
How do you clean and store a rose quartz roller?
- After every use: rinse the stone with lukewarm water and a little mild soap, then dry it with a clean, soft cloth.
- Avoid soaking a roller with a metal frame, which can rust or loosen, and avoid boiling water or sudden temperature changes, which can crack quartz.
- Store it dry, in its pouch or box. The fridge is fine for an extra-cool feel; the freezer is not.
- Replace a chipped stone, which can scratch.
- Do not share it, just as you would not share a face towel.
Rose quartz roller bottles and castor oil: a different product
Searches for a “rose quartz roller bottle” or “roller ball” are about something else: a small glass bottle with a rose quartz ball in the cap, used to dab perfume oils or carrier oils such as castor oil onto the skin. If you roll castor oil along the brows or lash line, keep it out of your eyes and patch-test first. It is a dispenser, not a face-massage tool.
What is the FEMOIRE Rose Beauty Stone?
It is the rose quartz facial tool that comes with FEMOIRE Youth Serum: every set holds the serum 30 ml with the Rose Beauty Stone. Our page describes it as 100% rose quartz: glide it over the serum to help it absorb and lift the look of your contours, and it feels cool and relaxing on the skin.
The serum it partners combines the 3rd Gen Youth Peptide, NMN, 8 hyaluronic acids and 10 calming herbs. It was dermatologically tested and is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. Use a few drops morning and night, and bring in the stone 2-3 times a week. One set lasts about a month, and delivery is free anywhere in Malaysia.
